Heritage Old Spot pigs
Litters born 10/2/16 & 11/3/2017. Piglets will be ready at 6 weeks old $175
We will be having some Heritage Old Spot pigs butchered by buds in March. I am selling whole 1/2 or 1/4 hogs cut and vac sealed. Extra Large (whole hot weight around 300lbs) and Large ( whole hot weight around 200lbs) and Medium (whole hot weight around 150). Price is $5/lb on hot weight we pay slaughter and cut and wrap fees. (Hot weight is the hanging weight after slaughter but before cut and wrap)
Where bacon comes from. Our pigs are raised in a large pasture with room to root around and play. They are fed a mixture of dairy products (milk, cheese, yogurt, etc.) and a grain mash that they absolutely thrive on. The also eat seasonally - apples, lettuces, veggie scraps from grocery stores, etc. They occasionally get tasty kitchen scraps that are cooked into slop. We sell our pork at our farm store by appointment, and in our CSA boxes.
